THE ’96 IVY AT YALE.
Another Sprig Will Be Planted from the Grave of Robert E. Lee.
NEW HAVEN, Conn., June 10.—The members of the class Ivy Committee of the class of ’96, who are still at Yale, have decided to make another effort to have an ivy planted. Last yhear they procured a rare sprig from the grave of the late Gen. Robert E. Lee, and some antagonism was aroused by Union veterans here, and the ivy was pulled up in September.
The committee has obtained another ivy from the same place, and will quietly plant it in a few days.
