I have recd. your letter of yesterday’s date in reference to the restoration of your son to the Academy. I am not at liberty to give transcripts of the records of the Academy upon individual application; but should the Secy of War upon your application for the restoration of your son, call for a report in his case, I will be happy to furnish all the information he may desire.
I have been notified of the acceptance of the resignation of your son by the Secy. of War.
