On the 24th Ulto: I had the honour to forward for approval, the proof sheets of a revised copy of the Regns of the Mil: Acady. Their receipt not having been acknowledged, & the printer waiting to strike off the edition & to liberate his forms &c, causes me to enquire whether they have been recd., & to ask that they be returned to me as soon as the decision of the Secy can be conveniently obtained upon their merits.
