The testimony of Major Delafield being required in a suit brought by Dyer Brewster against the Tenant of a house at West Point—I have the honour respectively to request that you will inform me what is Major Delafield’s address at present, & whether there is a likelyhood of his returning soon to this State, as in case of his prolonged absence a Commission to take his testimony will have to be issued.
