[n.d.]
Dear Mrs McDonald.
Mamma enjoyed yr nice things very much - she is worse today, & my heart is very heavy - but in this darkness, the love & sympathies of true friends is very comforting -
I have put aside yr sweet letter, and if she gets well, will show it to her - Yrs
with love -
