Dear Genl,
I have noticed with no small degree of real heartfelt pleasure, that you have now in the course of preparation, and will soon publish a complete and reliable history of the second revolution, the book, emanating from one whom in the dark days of our country’s struggle for the maintenance of her liberty. We were proud to honor as our own Chief and our leader, will be eagerly sought after by our people.
Permit me to solicit at your hand the Agency to canvass the sale of the books in the Counties of Attala, Holmes, Choctaw, Carroll, Yazoo, Leake, Winston, and Madison in this State, your kindness Genl on this behalf will be even most highly appreciated by your
humble and obedient servant
