G. W. Francis to Robert E. Lee

I have in my possession two articles from your late residence at "Arlington." One an old deed bearing date 1639, the other and old work on the "Anti-Christian Conspiracy." They were sent me while the Army was stationed on the Potomac, and I dislike to hold any article that does not belong to me. I prize them as relics, but will return them if you desire. Please answer and oblige
