Chantilly 17th Jany. 1771
Dear Sir,
It must be a very extraordinary cause that will prevent me from waiting on you Monday next - At present I resolve to give you the meeting at church, where I have no manner of doubt, but that we shall have a very good sermon, a thing quite usual with the revd. Mr. Giberne.
My idea of coolness, is explained by a wise and well judged formation of the plan we have in view; foreseeing that it will be attended with extensive and very beneficial consequences.
Our best wishes are for the * * * at Sabine Hall.
Your affectiona<te>.
R. H. Lee
